Sheryl Abrams is originally from Austin, Texas and has been practicing yoga since 1993 and Iyengar yoga exclusively since 2001. Sheryl is a Certifed Iyengar Yoga Instructor having successfully completed her Introductory II exam in 2011. She continues to study regularly with senior Iyengar teachers in the Twin Cities, Madison and Chicago. In 2005,

Sheryl had the opportunity to study with B.K.S. Iyengar during his Light on Life tour and in 2007 with Geeta Iyengar during her Las Vegas visit. A 1979 graduate of the School of Journalism at Indiana University, Sheryl also enjoys her work as a freelance writer and helps her husband with advertising and marketing for their restaurant Hickory River Smokehouse located in Glendale Heights.
